In the end there were ten. On the final installment in our Rvng of the Nrds 12″ series, Parisian patriarch of the edit Pilooski wanders into the dark heart of a Jamaican jungle jam. Birds of paradise squawk and squeak over a ghostly female lament while an echo chambered guitar riff crescendos into haunting hammond swells and a bouncy bass dirge. The one-sided 12″ locks on a tumbling tabla and mystic’s moan. The b-side features an etching inspired by the whip cream pie scene in Revenge of the Nerds. It’s a joke that five people will get. But that’s ok, because in the end, the joke was on us. S’ank you, very much.
