Kate NV is the multifaceted solo persona of Moscow-based artist Kate Shilonosova. A changeling who follows afflatus in all its forms, Kate is a student of architecture, an illustrator of curious, colorful characters, and an improvisor on the stages of performance and of life. Kate celebrates the one year anniversary of Room for the Moon with an instrumental edition of her third album.

On Room for the Moon Instrumentals, Kate’s longtime collaborators Jenya Gorbunov, on bass guitar, Vladimir Luchanskiy, on saxophone, and Quinn Oulton, on both instruments, take turns in the spotlight. Each of these contributions are in service of NV’s singular vision, but here have the opportunity to move the music in equal parts.

Return to Kate’s nostalgic fairy tale and experience anew the joyous synth lines, propulsive polyrhythms, and the warm, whimsical melodies and memories of Room for the Moon in their unadorned essence.
