M. Sage Live in a Japanese Tea Garden

A little over a year ago, when the Crick was but a trickle, M. Sage shared a peak of Paradise at a Japanese tea garden in Pasadena, California. Fuubutsushi fam Patrick Shiroishi even joined in for a jam. The complete set, filmed by Eli Welbourne, is live for you to enjoy on RVNG’s YouTube channel.

Visible Cloaks, Yoshio Ojima, and Satsuki Shibano - NYC 9/27-28

In tribute to St. Giga, the legendary Japanese radio station, Visible Cloaks, Yoshio Ojima, and Satsuki Shibano bring their longstanding FRKWYS collaboration to NYC for their very first two US shows at Public Records, Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28.

The first night will feature opening act Strugglin’ and a pre-show artist conversation moderated by Sadie Starnes. They second night will feature opening act UCC Harlo. Tickets for night one here, and tickets for night two here.

Pamela Z at MoMA August 9-13

Tristan Allen Shares Single + Video for Act II: Sea and Sky

Introducing Tin iso and the Dawn, the first release in a mythic trilogy by New York based composer and puppeteer Tristan Allen. A journey through a fantastical realm of characters whose universal longings, and reckoning of loss and what’s beyond, mirror our own.

For a first listen from the album, “Act II: Sea and Sky,” filmmakers Travis Hood and Ross Mayfield document Tristan’s shadow puppet performance which the piece accompanies, bringing to life various movements that float over an audial landscape.
