“En attendant l’aube” from Danielle Boutet’s Pièces

“Pièces is a collection of unrelated pieces. What unites them is a certain consistency in the exploration, the form, the inspiration – and my idea that it was going to be a collection or an album. hence the title ‘Pièces,’, which in French has different meanings.

Danielle Boutet on her debut album, self-released and distributed on cassette in 1985. Pièces will be released in a limited vinyl edition as part of Freedom To Spend’s uncommon¢ series on February 16, 2024. Have another listen from Pièces via “En attendant l’aube” below.
