M. Sage on Paradise Crick

“For years I tried to have a serious ‘compositional practice’ that was built on very intentional and conceptual idioms. I learned that this kind of creating was very unfulfilling for me, and so, I pivoted into what I call ‘play, most of all.’ Or just ‘play music.’ I don’t try to write in the sense that I know what I am doing, I try to not think too much about what I am doing at all… I just play.”
