Pauline Anna Strom – Trans-Millenia Music – “Energies”

Pauline Anna Strom’s initial outpouring of music came in 1982 under the name Trans-Millenial Consort. Blind by birth, Paula dabbled with music growing up in the south, but didn’t find her true voice until moving to San Francisco in her early twenties and eventually discovering synthesizers.

That first self-titled album, Trans-Millenial Consort, recorded at home by Paula and then brought further life and color by Peter Buffet and Lemon DeGeorge, exhibited a true — and truly free — form of Paula’s creative capability.

RVNG is now working with Paula to bring a collection of her early recorded works to the world this November. We’ve been working toward the best representation of Paula for just about six years. Paula is excited to have her music revisited, but she is even more excited to play music again. If you’ve followed our archival series, we’re all about that agency and figuring out how to bring Paula’s music to life / live settings all over again.
