7FO's Water Falls Into A Blank Resurfaces This November

7FO's Water Falls Into A Blank dips into a wondrous world of dub and anecdotal, aqueous pop. Resurfacing this November after a decade long slumber.

Hailing from Osaka, Japan, 7FO / N. Kawata introduces each song as a reflective surface, rippling into sonic pools brimming with micro beings. Listening to Water Falls Into A Blank is much like diving into a quiet lake: a rejuvenating wash of life that plummets through murky and more curious depths. From simplicity grows complexity; from the molecular appears fully-formed creatures we know as ourselves, complete with passion and a primordial past.

Water Falls was originally released in 2016 as part of See, a series of collaborations between sound and visual artists commissioned for Commend, 7FO paired with Nick Ozgunay a then Brooklyn-based artist (now LA) who dyes, paints, burns, and produces prints and textiles as Annexe. First issued as an impossibly small artist edition of nine unique LPs and a cassette, this 10 year edition shares this wonderful music in a wider way.

Today, we prime the palette with “Botanical Dub,” a playful excursion welcoming listeners into 7FO's vibrant environments. Water Falls Into A Blank will be available on all digital platforms and as an expanded CD edition via Plancha on November 6, 2026.
