Film stalwarts Randall Poster and Christine Vachon have launched a new audio/visual/cultural initiative, called KILLER DISCOVERIES, with a music video for Mirror Mirror’s “Sublime Objective”, directed by Tom Kalin. Kalin’s accomplished oeuvre of work includes directing Swoon, a defining moment in independent cinema that celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year.
The lyrics for “Sublime Objective” speak to striving for a goal as the music rings transcendental: a relationship that Kalin explores with the use of Shaker-inspired movement and light halos alongside the elegant dynamism of parkour as a motif for aspiration in the video. “Sublime Objective” is available on Mirror Mirror’s latest LP, Interiors.
